Gary A. Brewer received his undergraduate degree in 1973 and his law degree in 1976 from the University of Tennessee, in Knoxville, Tennessee. Mr. Brewer was admitted to the bar and entered the practice of law in Nashville, Tennessee in 1976.
Mr. Brewer concentrates half of his practice defending individuals and businesses sued in liability claims and half of his practice in the representation of insurers involving matters of arson and fraud, insurance coverage and bad-faith. Mr. Brewer’s liability practice includes representing professionals in defense of errors and omissions claims, construction matters, industrial accidents, premises liability, and automobile and trucking litigation.
Mr. Brewer’s representation of insurers in coverage litigation includes successfully defending numerous fraud and arson cases. Mr. Brewer advises insurers concerning coverage, policy language interpretation, claims handling practices and procedures, appraisals and examinations under oath.
Mr. Brewer holds the highest rating from Martindale-Hubbell for ethics and legal ability. Mr. Brewer is past president of the Tennessee Advisory Committee on Arson and is a frequent lecturer on legal topics within his area of practice.
