Mr. Burnette joined the firm as an associate in August 2018. His focus is on the representation of insurance companies and their insureds. His practice includes representing clients dealing with personal injury, premises liability, contract disputes, products liability, and uninsured/underinsured motorist claims.
Mr. Burnette was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee. He graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law, magna cum laude, with a concentration in advocacy and dispute resolution. While in law school, Mr. Burnette served as a student attorney with the University of Tennessee’s Community and Economic Development Clinic. He was Staff Editor for Transactions: Tennessee Journal Business Law. Mr. Burnette was a member of the National Environment Law Moot Court Team, where his team placed in the quarterfinals of the National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition in New York in 2017 and 2018. Upon graduation, Mr. Burnette was named to the Order of Barristers, which recognizes graduates with exceptional skill and achievement in trial advocacy, oral advocacy, and brief writing throughout law school.
Mr. Burnette currently resides in Nashville with his wife, Evelyn. When not practicing law, he enjoys golfing, running, cooking, and cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers and Nashville Predators.
