Ms. Tag currently focuses her practice on the representation of insurance companies and their insureds, primarily in the realm of insurance liability. This includes insurance defense, premises liability and automobile liability. Ms. Tag has over a decade of jury trial experience.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Tag was a Deputy District Attorney in San Diego, California for over 13 years. During her criminal law career, she specialized in the prosecution of sex crimes and human trafficking, prosecuting close to 40 jury trials including murder, rape, child molestation, kidnapping, robbery and many more violent felonies and crimes against children. Ms. Tag has taught on the subjects of vicarious trauma, pimping and pandering, sexually violent predators, Title IX and state prosecution interplay, military prosecution and state prosecution co-existence, and trauma informed care. Ms. Tag’s prior criminal law background provides her keen insight into insurance liability analysis and insurance defense as there is often a parallel criminal case with overlapping factual issues and defenses.
Ms. Tag is licensed to practice law in the states of Tennessee and California, as well as the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Tennessee and the U.S. District Court, Southern District of California. She graduated from the University of Southern California with a B.S. in Business Administration in 2004 and went on to earn her law degree from the University of San Diego in 2007.
Ms. Tag was born and raised in San Diego, California and is one of many California to Tennessee transplants. In her spare time she enjoys being with her husband and children.
