PRACTICE FOCUS
Gary A. Brewer, a member of the firm, focuses half of his practice
on the representation of individuals and companies sued in liability
claims and half of his practice on the representation of insurers
involving matters of arson and fraud, insurance coverage and bad-faith.
Mr. Brewer’s liability practice includes representing professionals
in defense of errors and omissions claims. Mr. Brewer also routinely
defends litigation involving construction and industrial accidents,
premises liability and automobile and trucking negligence.
Mr. Brewer’s representation of insurers includes the successful
defense of numerous fraud and arson cases, including successfully
obtaining judgments against insureds on counter-suits arising out
of arson and fraud claims. Mr. Brewer conducts numerous examinations
under oath and regularly provides advice to insurance carriers
and policyholders on issues involving insurance coverage, policy
language interpretation, claims handling practices and procedures
and appraisals.

ethics and legal ability. Mr. Brewer is past President of the Tennessee
Advisory Committee on Arson.
