E. Jason Ferrell
Mr. Ferrell concentrates his practice on the representation of insurance companies and their insureds. His practice emphasizes first and third-party insurance coverage matters, arson and insurance fraud, insurance defense and premises liability. Mr. Ferrell also counsels insurance companies on claims handling practices, including exposure to bad-faith and extra-contractual claims.
Mr. Ferrell graduated from Middle Tennessee State University (B.S. Political Science, 1996); and earned his law degree from the Nashville School of Law (J.D., 2005). He has been admitted to the following courts: Tennessee, 2005; U.S. District Court, Middle District of Tennessee, 2010; U.S. District Court, Western District of Tennessee, 2010; and U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Tennessee, 2012; and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, 2014.
Mr. Ferrell is a member of the Nashville and Tennessee Bar Associations and a member of the National Society of Private Insurance Investigators. Prior to the practice of law, Mr. Ferrell worked for 14 years in the insurance industry as a litigation specialist, and as a claims associate handling property and liability claims. He obtained the Associate in Claims (A.I.C.) certification in 1997.
Mr. Ferrell was born and raised in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, where he lives with his wife and three children. He is a member of Belle Aire Baptist Church and is a member of Rutherford Society, supporting St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.
